THE MIND BEHIND THE GRIND

ABSNT was established as a design studio dedicated to the advancement of performance within contemporary apparel. Its work unfolds through a series of deliberate capsules, defined by material research, technical precision, and a studied restraint. In parallel, the studio pursues a limited number of collaborative and consulting projects, translating its ethos across contexts.

The mind behind the grind at ABSNT is Jade Rhone, he was raised on a simple principle: if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing properly. That idea still defines his approach, measured, deliberate and uncompromising in execution, focused on process over noise.

Jade’s background comes from leading design and consulting roles for globally recognised brands (including Thrudark, Musto, CHPT3 & Jaguar Land Rover) Rooted in performance-driven product spanning technical outdoor, sport and workwear systems. Grounding his approach in function, material integrity and purposeful design.

ABSNT is built slowly. No excess, no shortcuts, just a commitment to process, material and product done properly.

Throughout my career I’ve helped (and continue to help) build these brands. I now endeavour to build something of my own in ABSNT.
